adminimproper use of firearm in contravention of the Firearms Act when he appeared before Chitungwiza magistrate Mr Kudakwashe Jarabini.
Mr Jarabini remanded him out of custody to March 18 for judgment.
Circumstances were that on February 15, four police officers Everisto Maponga, Layck Nyasoka, Garikai Jimu and Bernard Manthosi stationed at CID Braeside went to Access Service Station at Chikwanha to refuel their vehicle. While the petrol attendant was serving them, Nyasoka took a broom and started sweeping the inner part of the vehicle.
The irate Mujoma approached Nyasoka and accused him of littering the premises. Nyasoka told him he was only sweeping sand but this did not go down well with Mujoma.
He proceeded to their vehicle and took a sjambok while declaring that the quartet was not going to leave the premises.
During that time, Jimu identified himself as a policeman and this resulted in Mujoma reaching for his pistol and cocking it while pointing it at them. The officers disarmed him and whisked him away to St Mary’s police station leading to his arrest.
Mr Lovet Muringwa prosecuted.
