Former Big Brother — The Chase — housemate Pokello Nare Kumordzie will join television and radio presenter Mbo Mahocs and fashion blogger Lillian Madyara for the inaugural “Signature Toscie Style Sessions” this weekend at Moto Republic.
Pokello has made a name with her pink bottoms ladies shoes and Addicted 2 Shoes boutique which are now being donned by most female celebrities, ministers, socialites and diplomats donning.
“Signature Toscie” pronounced tos-ki is a Zimbabwean fashion and lifestyle blog by Tendai Kamusikiri.
The event is a style brunch for young girls and women, aged 18–30 years in a bid to inspire, motivate and empower fashion enthusiastic.
The sessions will run under the theme, “Celebrating Zimbabwean Women with Style” in accordance with August Women’s Month.
In an interview with “Style Session” founder and director Tendai Kamusikiri said preparations were at an advanced stage.
“The style sessions aim to equip young ladies and gents with the business of fashion and style through open discussions, pep talks and question and answer with some of Zimbabwe finest and recognised fashion enthusiasts and influencers,” she said.
The fashion blogger said those interested in attending the event will have to fork out $10.
Dreamers, fashion lovers, students and young entrepreneurs are encouraged to attend and understand the power of being your own Boss while owning your fabulous style,” she said.
“Fashion is business and we are happy that locals are embracing it. I want this seminar to leave a mark in those who are into fashion. After this I want to host another end of this year, maybe at a different venue and city if resources permit but the bottom line our goal is achieved.
We need to follow trends very well,” she said.
However Kamusikiri wants to inspire, promote, emulate and highlight the Zimbabwean fashion industry by featuring local fashion boutiques, events, young designers and the writer’s personal style chronicles.
The blog has gone onto recommend and curate stylish posts using local designers and brands, making the blog an innovator that has contributed immensely to the growth of the Zimbabwean fashion industry.
According to Kamusikiri the blog has branched out into consultancy as a recognisable and established brand in Zimbabwe, both online and in the fashion realm.
