POLICE yesterday partnered with various churches in commemorating deceased officers by conducting a Commissioner General of Police Christmas church service in Harare.
Beneficiaries went away with food hampers and stationery.
The officer commanding operations in Harare province, Assistant Commissioner Tawonei Nyazema, shared memories of how some of the late officers discharged their duties, saying they fought a good fight.
“We are commemorating some police cadres who passed away during the year under review.
“It is their courage, patriotism, sincerity, and commitment to police service, which inspires us,” said Ass Comm Nyazema.
“Forever with us are vivid memories of how indispensable treasures they were to Zimbabwe.

“Indeed, they fought a good fight, which we never shall or wish to abandon.
“As for us still in service, the work never ends, and our gaze is fixed on policing the nation to create an environment conducive for the attainment of Vision 2030.”
Pastor Patience Mutyamaenza shared a message of salvation.
“With words, you are to maintain the beauty and glory of your life and change circumstances and situations in line with God’s will,” said Pastor Mutyamaenza.
“By your words, you can chart your course in victory and success.
“It is not enough to believe the word of God with your heart, you have to declare it with your mouth to experience the blessings therein.
“Kana mapurisa edu aberekwa kutsva ndiyani achasara asingatendi kuna Mwari anopa upenyu?” said Pastor Mutyamaenza.
