Police officers accused of taking bribes denied bail

Harare magistrate Mrs Marehwanazvo Gofa has denied bail to the two police officers who were captured taking bribes from kombis, pirate taxis,and registered public vehicles in a video that went viral on social media recently.

Sergeant James Chifamba (46) and Constable Trymore Mukunza (36) who were arrested early this month are facing criminal abuse of office charges as public officers.

They were remanded to December 6 pending finalisation of investigations.
