Police probe firearm incident at Eaglesvale-CBC rugby match

THE Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has confirmed that investigations are underway following a firearm incident and an assault case that occurred during a rugby match between Bulawayo’s Christian Brothers College (CBC) and Eaglesvale College in Harare.

In a statement, police said the incident occurred at Eaglesvale College on 13 June 2026.

“The ZRP confirms that investigations are currently underway in connection with a firearm incident and Assault case which occurred at Eaglesvale College, Harare on 13th June 2026. The incident took place during a rugby match between Christian Brothers College (CBC) and Eaglesvale College,” said the police.

The ZRP urged calm among parents, students, administrators and other stakeholders while investigations continue.
