Polokwane were the better side: Sundowns coach

Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane admits his side were second best after slumping to a 2-1 defeat against Polokwane City at Loftus Versfeld on Tuesday.

A brace from former Brazilian Rodney Ramagalela, which included a sublime looping volley, was enough to hand Rise and Shine all three points, with Sundowns having temporarily equalised through a George Lebese penalty.

Speaking after the game, Mosimane admitted things did not go his sidea��s way, but was still full of praise for the opposition and their head coach Bernard Molekwa.

a�?You get punished, you have to take your chances,a�? the coach told SuperSport TV. a�?But we need to congratulate Polokwane City and the coach (Bernard Molekwa), they did very well.

a�?They fought for it, they played well on the break, I think Rama G (Ramagalela) had the game of his life but ita��s always the case with our former players, they show that a��you shouldna��t have let me goa��. What a fantastic strike he scored, the second one, I dona��t think hea��ll score (a goal like that) again.a�?

Mosimane was, however, critical of the playing surface at Loftus, the same excuse Kaizer Chiefs coach Steve Komphela gave after his side were held to a 1-1 draw against Bloemfontein Celtic at the weekend.
