Poor service exposes 1+1

The newly-opened 1+1 Happy Club at Longcheng Plaza poses a high risk to revellers especially when there is a full house because there is no proper ventilation and owners do not know when to turn away club goers.

Last Saturday, the popular hangout was packed to the rafters and the blinding lights added the burden to fans that were enduring high temperatures in the club.

Besides the choking atmosphere, there is poor service at the club as revellers wait for long before they can order their drinks.

“Well, we thought since this was one of best hangouts in town there would be swift service and air condition but NO. These guys are after making profits”, said Cynthia Mawere who was at the club last weekend. “You know we came with our makeup on but now we are looking horrible because its ‘burning’ like hell inside the club. They should install air conditioners if they want to maintain the international standards. They should also make sure that there is a smoking room somewhere for those who smoke,” Amanda Molai from South Africa said.

An architect with a Harare firm Mike Matowa said the owners of the club should raise the roof so that those that will be at the balcony would not feel the heat.
