AN aspiring artist says poverty has been the main hurdle which is blocking his breakthrough.
Richard Zvavamwe’s dream is to become a reality star, a script writer and a painter.
In an interview with H-Metro, Zvavamwe said he is currently working on his movie scripts.
The movies are titled ‘Potential Man’, ‘High School Days’, ‘The Largest Beast’, ‘Duo Thought’, ‘Can I Tell Him?’ and ‘Farm Termites’.
“In the middle of my teenage years, I started working on novels, magazines and any source in order to enhance my English.
“It was so difficult to pull myself out of poverty but I never gave up.
“I had to keep moving forward.
“The diversification of my art makes me realise that I have plenty of talents, including some I have not yet discovered.
“I started practicing karaoke and now I am able to sing fluently like country music legends, the likes of Don Williams and others.”
He added:
“Most of the time, if not playing chess, I used to create my artwork and some of my picture and drawings I had to exchange them in favour of money.
“I upgraded my standards the time I was in high school, doing technical graphics, even though I never find myself because I can’t escape from poverty.
“Currently, I am working on my movie scripts, they were supposed to be in written form way back but owing to the shortage of modern gadgets, the likes of a laptop and a printing machine, it took me several years to put it all on paper.
“This gives me hope that one day I will definitely stun the world.”
