In the touching song, Manyati expresses hope for the country and stresses that in no time it shall rise above the negativity. It has a sizzling follow-up video that was released in February.
“The motivation came to me when I realised that most people sing and pray for their own problems but forgetting to pray for the nation. I love my country and I want it to become Africa’s breadbasket once again. My father, Ezekiel Guti, actually encourages us to fast every first 10 days of the year while praying to God to stop social ills besetting the country,” he said.
The youthful musician also appealed to his countrymen to desist from being pessimistic, saying that God had great plans for us.
“Despite the turmoil, we have been going through we need to stop existing and start living. I encourage people to start focusing on the Lord because he is always with us. We have a brilliant future if we put our trust in him,” he said.
The song is among the seven other songs from the album entitled “Uchaponeswa” that was released early this year. Growing up in the church choir, Manyati has managed to refine his vocal skills and musical prowess because of the vast experience.
Although his music has not yet obtained air play on the national radio, he is happy with the positive reviews he has been getting for the album.
“I started working on my album in 2010 only to finish it this year. I have put so much work into the project and the response I am getting in the streets is encouraging. My main message is for people to repent and look upon Jesus for salvation.
