THE Zimbabwe Polocrosse team are still sweating it out on the pitch as part of their preparations for the biggest polocrosse sporting event set for Adina, Australia which is now just around the corner.
The extravaganza begins on the 22-28 of April this year.
According the Leanne McBean the team manager the team is in Bulawayo as part of their preparations after a few training days in South Africa and Harare respectively to polish up a few things.
“We recently arrived in Bulawayo for more training sessions, however, soon we are going back to Harare and remain in camp. We expect to leave for Australia on the 12th a few days before, rest for days since we would have travelled for two days.
“After that training we will resume, the main aim being to run our horses twice a day in the morning including in the afternoon to get to know them the since they will be provided by the host nation,” she said
When asked if they are at this moment financially sufficient since all along they have been appealing for help from any well wishers McBean said help was still needed.
“In terms of finance we are still a little bit short, if there is someone out there who is willing to help we will be grateful,” she added.
During the tournament Team Zim is targeting to win at least two games during the group stages then proceed to the knock-out stage.
Morale is said to be high within the camp at bringing the World Cup Trophy home being the sole priority.
