President Mnangagwa, who is Chancellor of all State Universities has arrived at Great Zimbabwe University in Masvingo where he is expected to preside over the institution’s 18th graduation ceremony.
Among those to be capped is celebrated sungura musician and yesteryear star, Jonah Moyo who is set to be conferred with Doctor of Philosophy in Creative and Performing Arts Honorary degree.
The event is being attended by academics, captains of industry, and senior Government officials.
A total of 4465 graduands will be capped, comprising of 2849 females and 1616 males.
Universities have of late become centres of social and economic transformation through their innovation hubs that are coming up with several innovations and research.
