President Mnangagwa has departed for Angola to attend the country’s 50th independence anniversary.

He was seen off at Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport by Vice Presidents Dr Constantino Chiwenga and Dr Kembo Mohadi, along with Cabinet Ministers, Service Chiefs, and other senior Government officials.

President Mnangagwa’s participation in this celebration aims to strengthen the bilateral relations between Harare and Luanda, which are deeply rooted in a shared history of the liberation struggle, as Angola played a significant role in Zimbabwe’s fight for independence.

Both Angola’s ruling People’s Movement for the Liberation of Angola (MPLA) and Zanu PF are among the leading liberation movements in the SADC region, continuing to implement policies that resonate with their citizens.
