President makes new Cabinet appointments

PRESIDENT Mnangagwa has, with immediate effect, appointed Matabeleland South’s Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution, Dr Evelyn Ndlovu, to the role of Minister of Environment, Climate and Wildlife.

Concurrently, Beitbridge East Member of Parliament, Cde Albert Nguluvhe, has been appointed as the new Minister of State for Devolution and Provincial Affairs for Matabeleland South, stepping into Dr Ndlovu’s former position.

Dr Ndlovu succeeds Cde Sithembiso Nyoni, who was removed from the aforementioned ministerial post last week.

Chief Secretary to the President and Cabinet, Dr Martin Rushwaya, confirmed these latest appointments in a press statement released yesterday evening.

Both appointments have been made in accordance with the provisions of Section 104, Subsection (1) of the Constitution of Zimbabwe.
