PRESIDENT Mnangagwa is at Harvest House International Church in Bulawayo to officially commission the imposing multi-million dollar auditorium at Selbourne Brooke suburb.
The facility can accommodate up to 10 500 people.
The new centre will serve as the headquarters for Harvest House International Church, which Bishop Collin Nyathi founded in 1995.
President Mnangagwa entered the auditorium accompanied by Bishop Nyathi, several church officials, and Bulawayo Provincial Affairs and Devolution Minister Judith Ncube among other government officials.
Finance, Economic Development and Investment Promotion Minister Professor Mthuli Ncube, city of Bulawayo mayor, Councillor David Coltart and several civic leaders are also present.
Multitudes of congregates who started arriving as early as 6am burst into jubilation as the President and his entourage made its way in.
On several occasions, he waved to the congregates.
Led by a more than 100-member choir, at 8:30am a worship service began and jubilant faithful were seen deeply immersed in prayer and worship.
Renditions of popular global worship songs were sung.
When Bishop Nyathi took to the podium at 9:30am guest preacher Dag Heward-Mills, a Ghanaian religious leader based in Accra, the congregates lit up in frenzy cheering him on.
Construction of the facility began in October 2018.
The facility features five seminar halls, a gymnasium, a food court, and a restaurant.
It will also have a medical centre complete with a pharmacy, dental surgery, general practitioner, blood laboratory, and physiotherapist.
The complex which spans 10 acres of prime land also features numerous boardrooms, and six retail shop outlets available for rent, catering to jewellery and clothing businesses.
The church has about 850 branches globally after having started as a small gathering of eight members at 20 Onslow Drive in Sunninghill.
