BULAWAYO, Zimbabwe** — President Emmerson Mnangagwa arrived at Joshua Mqabuko Nkomo International Airport today to officiate the commissioning of the Harvest House International Church’s (HHI) impressive 10,500-seat auditorium in the Selbourne Brooke suburb.
The President was welcomed by various dignitaries, including the Minister of State for Bulawayo Provincial Affairs and Devolution, Cde Judith Ncube, and Zanu PF Provincial Chair Jabulani Sibanda.

The new facility, which serves as the church’s headquarters, is expected to be a significant source of employment and spiritual development for the community. HHI spokesperson Reverend Mhla Ndlovu emphasised the dual purpose of the auditorium: “This will not only provide a place of worship but also create numerous job opportunities in the area.”

The Harvest House International Church founded in 1995 by Bishops Dr Collin and Dr Sarah Nyathi, starting with just eight congregants in their home. Over the years, the church has expanded to over 800 branches worldwide, including countries such as Botswana, Namibia, and the United Kingdom.

The multi-million dollar complex spans 10 acres and features five seminar halls, a gymnasium, a food court, and a dining restaurant. It also includes a fully equipped medical centre with a pharmacy and various medical services. Construction of the auditorium began in October 2018, and its completion marks a significant milestone for the church and the local community.
