PRESIDENT Mnangagwa has officially opened the 21st Zanu PF Annual National People’s Conference in Bulawayo with a call of party cadres to shun divisive elements and uphold unity and loyalty while keeping the focus on transforming people’s livelihoods.

Delivering his keynote address before thousands of delegates including distinguished guests on Friday, he said the annual peoples conference is a critical gathering of the party and congratulated the organisers and Bulawayo as the host province for the warm welcome.

President Mnangagwa has said the massive turnout is commendable as it demonstrates that Zanu PF is a mass party that continues to grow from strength to strength.

Given the mandate  bestowed on it by the electorate, he said Zanu PF remains determined to continue defending the gains of the liberation struggle, adding that ‘the party and the people of Zimbabwe are one?.

Together in unity, he said the party is focused on transforming people’s livelihoods guided by Vision 2030, and emphasised the need to uphold values of peace, unity, integrity, and honesty.

In doing so, he reiterated that Zanu PF is a party that is driven by results and implementing programmes that address challenges facing the country.

Step  by step,  brick by brick and stone upon stone Zimbabwe is on a path to achieve its transformative goals despite sanctions, said the President.
