President Mnangagwa has returned home from a successful three-day State visit to Accra, Ghana.
He was welcomed on arrival at the Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport by Vice Presidents Dr Constantino Chiwenga and Cde Kembo Mohadi, along with Service Chiefs and other senior Government officials.
Speaking to the media upon his arrival, President Mnangagwa said Ghana was looking forward to collaborating with Zimbabwe in various areas, with the agriculture sector featuring more prominently.
“In particular, they emphasised cooperation in agriculture.
“I think they’re very good in agriculture, our agricultural sector can benefit from collaborating with their sector.
“That’s the area they talked about the most,” he said.
President Mnangagwa and Ghana’s President John Mahama jointly oversaw the signing of 10 Memoranda of Understanding following the inaugural session of the Zimbabwe–Ghana Joint Permanent Commission on Cooperation (JPCC).

The session concluded the first JPCC meeting and created a formal framework to steer future bilateral cooperation.
The agreements span a range of priority sectors, including tourism, agriculture, education, and science and technology.
Additional Memoranda of Understanding address political and diplomatic consultations and establish cooperation between the Zimbabwe Foreign Service Institute and its Ghanaian counterpart on research, training, and documentation.
Other signed MoUs cover cooperation in health, energy, archives, and sports, and include a partnership on the Museum of African Liberation.
Separate agreements were also concluded between ZimTrade and Ghana’s Export Promotion Authority, and between Zimbabwe’s Geo-Pomona Waste Management Private Limited and Ghana’s Jaspong Group of Companies.
