THE Second Republic continues to uplift people’s livelihoods through projects that improve access to portable water in communities.

Under the Presidential Borehole Drilling Scheme, residents in Ward 3 of Marondera—particularly those in the Dombotombo suburb—are now accessing a reliable, uninterrupted water supply following the installation of a state-of-the-art solar-powered borehole.

The borehole was commissioned by the President’s Investment Advisor, Dr Paul Tungwarara, in Marondera yesterday.

“This is an ongoing programme. Let it be known that the President is bringing portable water to the people regardless of political affiliation. The President is focusing on massive development across Zimbabwe, and I want to thank him for that,” Dr Tungwarara said.

Marondera Mayor, Councillor Chengetayi Murova, thanked President Mnangagwa for the initiative.

“I want to thank President E.D. Mnangagwa for this important initiative, which is now bringing water to the people in towns, regardless of political affiliation. President Mnangagwa is living up to his word—of leaving no one and no place behind. We are seeing it,” he said.
