STUDENTS interested in pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate studies under the Presidential and National Scholarships Programme can now apply, following the opening of the registration window.
The Presidential and National Scholarships Programme targets disadvantaged but academically gifted students, mainly from rural areas across Zimbabwe’s 10 provinces.
The programme covers seven faculties, namely Engineering, Health Sciences, Science and Technology, Agricultural Sciences, Business Management and Administration, Sports, and Social and Human Sciences.
Undergraduate applicants must have a minimum of 10 points at A-Level in subjects relevant to their chosen degree programme and must be 25 years old or below by 31 January 2027.
Applicants for undergraduate degrees in Science and Technology are required to have at least an A or B pass in a relevant A-Level science subject.
For Master’s and PhD programmes, applicants must hold at least an Upper Second Class degree in a relevant field. Master’s degree applicants should be below 35 years, while PhD applicants must be below 40 years of age by 31 January 2027.
Authorities have emphasised that applications submitted through third parties, agencies or unauthorised institutions will not be accepted.
Applications must be submitted in person between 23 and 27 February 2026, during business hours, at designated collection centres located at the offices of Ministers of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution in all 10 provinces.
Applicants have also been warned that multiple submissions in different provinces will lead to automatic disqualification.
The closing date for submission of applications is 27 February 2026.
