‘Professor’ set to rock fans

The “Lento” singer will be rocking his fans in the capital before he heads to Bulawayo, the City of Kings and Queens, on Independence Day.
The Bulawayo show is organised by Babongile Sikhonjwa of Jack and Sadle while the Harare show is being presented by Sound Kalcha.

Part of the entertainment line-up at Circus International include some of Harare’s finest DJs including Dee-Nosh, L Roy, Golden Hands, Chuckie, Meltdown, Swagg Bakers and MC Karizma.

Dee Nosh and L Roy, who are popularly known as D&L on the club circuit, have thrilled Harare audiences with their amazing skills on the turntables.
Besides being top DJs they have also organised successful shows in the past where they brought to Harare some of the hottest South African acts.

According to Dee Nosh, one of the organisers, all was set for the gig and house music pundits should brace for a groovy time.
“We are pleased to announce that Professor is excited to come and perform in Harare. We are proud to host him at Circus International as we continue to give fans high-profile acts. We urge fans to feel free and celebrate our Independence in style. Advance tickets are going for US$10 while the VIP are costing US$15. Come early and avoid disappointment,” he said.

Just like most South Africans who have fallen in love with Zimbabwe, Professor, real name Mkhonzeni Langa, is not new to his Zimbabwean audiences. In fact, this is his second gig at Circus and what a night it promises to be.

The Durban native caused waves with his second album titled the “Orientation”. His first album was a huge success and it features hits like “Jezebel”, “Lento”,  “Jimaphi” and many more. He has proved to his critics that he is not a one-hit wonder judging by the number of hit singles.

He swept the 2011 MTN South African Music Awards when he won Male Artiste of the Year, Best Kwaito Album (University of Kalawa Jazmee) and Record of the Year (Imoto). Like his previous album, Professor is known for jaw dropping sounds and catchy lyrics. Currently he is causing waves on radio and in the pubs with his banging hit called “Character-Fingerprints” featuring Oskido.
