ISLAND Hospice and Healthcare, a palliative healthcare centre will host a breakfast meeting on 20 July in Bulawayo in a bid to promote breakfast meeting.

The event will run under the theme “promoting mental health for boys and men”. Bulawayo Branch Coordinator of Island Hospice and Healthcare Siphathisiwe Ncube said their goal is to give men a platform to express themselves.

“Our motivation is in bringing awareness on the importance of mental health wellness and all men are invited to the event. This is an opportunity for men to speak out, share, and hear how other men are managing mental health issues. The event will explore balancing mental health and business as it is one of the sources of problems amongst men,” she said.

Ncube said there were different packages offered for corporates and individuals.“There are different packages offered and these are for both corporates and individuals. The proceeds from the breakfast meeting will be used by the hospice to help the vulnerable people who are dealing with life-threatening illnesses and trauma. The funds will also support the affected family members including children and young people,” she said.
