FOUNDER and leader of Eagle Life Assembly Church in Bulawayo, Prophet Blessing Chiza has returned from Zambia, where he received an honourary Doctorate degree awarded to him by the African Institute of Theology in conjunction with St.
Thomas A-becket University Kent, Canterbury, England.
He will now be addressed to as Prophet Doctor Blessing Chiza. He is the first Zimbabwean prophet to gain such recognition and has by all means raised the country’s flag high.
Prophet Dr Chiza was among many other African scholars and man of cloth to be honoured with various awards at the Great Awakening Conference held at the Bethel Church International in Ndola, Zambia last week.
He told Sunday Life that he was deeply humbled and honoured as God’s prophet to have been recognised at such a level.
“I’m humbled and excited, I give all glory to Jesus. The ceremony was beautiful and was well attended by people from across Africa,” said Prophet Dr Chiza.
He said that his church would be conducting a huge service at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair in commemoration of his achievement today.
“The church will be hosting celebrations for my docrate at the ZITF and we have people coming as far as Harare to congratulate me,” he said, adding that he had even received congratulatory messages from high ranking ministers.
Prophet Dr Chiza noted that among the people being awarded and honoured he was the youngest and that the docrate had opened many doors for him spiritually across the continent and in United Kingdom.
“This has opened many doors not only for me but the ministry, as I have been invited to many other African countries to minister at churches and conferences,” he said.
