Prophets nabbed over fake miracles

TWO self-styled prophets were today arrested for reportedly  ‘planting’ a live snake in a family’s bedroom.
Madzibaba Takudzwa Mwapeta, 29, and Sean Chikomba, 22, connived with Regis Nhau’s housemaid Benhilda Nyevedzanai, 19, to fake the miracle as a way to make money.

Nhau paid US$400 to the two prophets who faked prophecy about the snake they had dumped under his bed with the help of Benhilda.

All hell broke loose when Nhau smelt a rat and ordered his wife to check communications between the two and their maid leading to the arrest.

Harare provincial police spokesperson Inspector Luckmore Chakanza confirmed the arrest saying one of the accused person is on the run and they have since recovered the snake and part of the money.
