THE Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League (PSL) has not approved any price hike for top-flight matches.

This follows a backlash on social media over a Hardrock Football Club poster for their forthcoming season opener against Scottland at Chahwanda Stadium on Sunday.

Fans hoping to watch the “Battle Of The Moneybags” between Hard rock were to fork out US$10 for the rest of the ground, a figure that sparked widespread criticism online as US$3 is the national minimum ticket price.

The newly promoted Kasongo Boys also pegged one section of VIP at US$30 and the VIP End at US$50, while the VVIP Lounge would have been strictly by invitation.

PSL communications officer Kudzai Bare moved in on Tuesday morning to clarify the league’s position.

“PSL has not approved any increase,” she said.

Hardrock have since removed the promotional poster carrying the prices from their social media platforms.
