THE Castle Lager Premier Soccer League (PSL) is exhibiting at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair with the hope of forging various partnerships that can aid in the smooth operation of the local league.
PSL last exhibited at the Trade Fair in 2017 and this year they are back to interact with their various stakeholders.
“Mainly, we want to interact with stakeholders and showcase who we are. We also aim to get ideas from our stakeholders and what changes they want to see,” said PSL communications manager Kudzai Bare. In their previous exhibitions, PSL had favourable responses from the general public and is hoping for the same this year.
“As PSL we started the season with various workshops with our different stakeholders. Coming to ZITF is a continuation in that we want to engage with as many stakeholders as we can from our fans to the different corporates that are exhibiting.
“We also want to get insights from the corporates and see what we can learn from them as PSL. We also want to connect with our fans on public days because they are our major stakeholders. We want to hear from them and find out ways we can improve the PSL football brand,” said Bare.
She says they want to continue growing the local game.
“We want to grow, improve and ensure that football is exciting and when people see PSL they want to come to our matches that are there. Maybe we can have various partnerships which we can forge,” said Bare.
The stand will feature pictures of some of the league games, present and previous winners of the league, their sponsors and stakeholders.
The other sport code that has also set camp at the Zimbabwe International Exhibition Centre is the Zimbabwe National Boxing and Wrestling Control Board (ZNBWCB).Meanwhile, there are various sporting events lined up for the last day of the Fair which is Saturday.
As has become the norm over the years, the ZITF CocaCola Four Minute Mile Challenge final and the Ingwebu Tug-of-War Championships will be part of the main attractions at the main arena.—@innocentskizoe
