THE Castle Lager Premier Soccer League (PSL) action returns with another intriguing round of fixtures this afternoon, headlined by Dynamos’ tricky away assignment against MWOS at Ngoni Stadium. Elsewhere, Herentals entertain Hardrock at Rufaro, while Agama welcome Triangle United at Wadzanayi Stadium.
All eyes will be on Ngoni Stadium where a seemingly rejuvenated Dynamos side continues its quest for consistency against an ambitious MWOS outfit determined to make home advantage count.
The Glamour Boys have shown signs of improvement in recent weeks and will be looking to build on that momentum against opponents who have proved difficult to beat on their own turf. The fixture promises an intense tactical battle, with both teams desperate for maximum points as the league campaign gathers momentum.
Dynamos are expected to produce another disciplined and committed performance as they seek to climb further up the league standings. The Glamour Boys have repeatedly stressed the importance of maintaining focus and taking each game as it comes, with every point now carrying significant weight in the race for a strong finish.
Dynamos team manager Ronald “Gidiza” Sibanda, who has been acting head coach following the club’s parting of ways with Genesis Mangombe, believes the Harare giants must continue displaying the fighting spirit that has characterised their recent resurgence.
Sibanda said the club’s objective remains to keep collecting points while restoring the confidence and winning mentality associated with Zimbabwe’s most successful football club.
“We will continue to take each game as it comes. It’s very pleasing that the boys have been showing great commitment for the badge. It has not been easy, but we will keep on fighting,” said the former Warriors, Zimbabwe Saints, AmaZulu and DeMbare midfield maestro.
Meanwhile, at Rufaro Stadium, Herentals will face a stern examination against free-spending Hardrock in a contest expected to showcase two sides eager to strengthen their positions on the league table. Hardrock, who are under the guidance of Zambian gaffer Kelvin Kaindu, have demonstrated resilience throughout the season and will fancy their chances of frustrating the Students on their home turf. – @FungaiMuderere.
