Polite Shonhiwa (24) of Chitungwiza have since been arrested and appeared in court.
They were charged with seven counts of assault, public indecency and another of attempted rape.
Chitungwiza magistrate Mr Kudakwashe Jarabini remanded the duo in custody to January 18 for trial.
Prosecutor Mr Henry Muringani alleges that on Christmas Eve last year, the pair was at Makoni shopping centre drinking beer.
He says they later went to Unit G hostels looking for commercial sex workers.
Upon arrival, Richards knocked at Portia Muchemwa’s room and paraded his manhood before slapping her on the face. The duo went on to demand sex from Irene Sithole, Angela Chakanyuka, Thelma Masanzi, and when they refused, the court heard that the pair would assault them.
Mr Muringani further alleges that Richards approached Brenda Makombe and negotiated for sex, but when she refused, he attempted to rape her.
The pair reportedly unbuttoned Masanzi’s blouse and stripped her of her trousers.
Richards and Shonhiwa were later arrested and taken to Makoni police station. While in the charge office the inebriated duo allegedly head-butted Inspector Steven Gora who questioned them over the alleged crime.
