KUDZAI “DJ Renailo” Kuveya is a talented radio personality and entertainer from Hwange.

Known as Queen from Malasha, she speaks six languages – English, isiNdebele, Shona, Chewa, Nambya and Tonga.

She became a well-rounded performer at Eveline Girls High School in Bulawayo before entering the industry through talent grooming sessions.

She later joined the all-girl band Azania before going on to work with legendary Zimbabwean artists like Barney Mupariwa on Starbrite, Alexio Kawara, Alexio Kawara, Winky D, Jah Prayzah, Sulu Chimbetu, Russo and Zim dancehall hitmaker Shinsoman.

As a career woman and single mother, Kudzai faces challenges in navigating the industry dynamics, but with the support of her siblings, she continues to thrive.

On her typical day, Kudzai is characterised as the coolest mom ever, a great listener and a fun-loving person.

Her journey has been nothing short of epic from when she started off singing and later becoming a TV and radio personality with ZBC.

She also graces several events as an MC.

“I remember Sunday School was always a part of me growing up. I never missed a day as I loved to sing,” she recalls.

“My mother was my inspiration and she also sang in the church choir.”

Her career started off at Thomas Coulter Primary School where she would participate in every event.

Kudzai said she stopped singing in 2014 when she lost her mother.

“I really felt incomplete and have not been able to recover from her death.

“I still miss her, but I will bounce back soon.”

Her current co-presenter, Cody Tinker, better known as Rank Marshall, has contributed a lot to her love for radio.

Kudzai enjoys traditional meals, sea food and ice-cream.
