Rainbow Towers are claiming the principal debt together with interest.
The hotel’s lawyers, Matsika and Associates, filed the summons at the High Court last week.
Zifa is yet to respond to the lawsuit.
Between December 16 2009 and March 2012, Zifa’s members and guests visited the hotel where they were provided with meals, conference facilities, accommodation and other services at the specific instance of Zifa. Everything was billed on Zifa’s account.
The costs have remained outstanding despite demand by the hotel.
Zifa, according to Rainbow Towers, has neglected to pay the debt prompting the hospitality concern to approach the High Court for recourse.
The football body, which is struggling to pay its workers, has been slapped by various lawsuits this year.
Its property was at one time attached in settlement of debts.
Pandhari Lodge also filed a US$57 232, 65 lawsuit — with interest — in a bid to recover debts over the hospitality facilities and services it provided to the national football team and the Zifa board between August and December 2010.
