Raj Modi bounces back as Deputy Minister

BULAWAYO South legislator and prominent city businessman, Cde Raj Modi, has bounced back as the Deputy Minister of Industry and Commerce.

This follows his re-appointment to the same portfolio by President Mnangagwa who also appointed Cde Sleiman Timios Kwidini Deputy Minister of Health and Child Care.

Announcing the appointments in a statement yesterday, Chief Secretary to the President and Cabinet Dr Martin Rushwaya said Cdes Modi and Kwidini will be deputies in the stated ministries with immediate effect.

“In terms of Subsection 2 of Section 104 of the Constitution of Zimbabwe Amendment (No. 20) Act 2013, His Excellency the President, Cde Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa has appointed Cdes Modi and Kwidini as Deputy Ministers with immediate effect,” reads the statement.

Cde Kwidini is the Member of Parliament for Chiwundura Constituency in Gweru district, Midlands province.
