Rampant murders worry police

Post Reporter

Police in Manicaland have urged people in the province to value the lives of other people and desist from violent acts.

The encouragement follows recent reported murder crimes committed in different parts of the province including two dead bodies that were found in Mutare this week.

A college student was on Monday brutally attacked by a machete gang of thieves in Sakubva and later died upon admission at Victoria Chitepo Provincial Hospital.

Of late there has been an increase in violent robberies cases whereby people are ambushed by thugs who attack them with an assortment of weapons before robbing them of cash and other valuables like cellphones.

Manicaland police spokesperson Inspector Luckson Chananda said the police will intensify night patrols to curb the crimes.
