Raping friend’s sister (13) earns man jail term

friend’s 13-year-old sister.
Clemence Nguluvhe alias Tsikamutanda had denied the charges against him. But presiding magistrate Mrs Fadzai Mthombeni convicted him on the strength of the State case.
She slapped him with 20 years imprisonment but set aside three years on condition of good behaviour.
The prosecutor Mr Johannes Tlou told the court that on 14 June last year, Nguluvhe who is a friend to the complainant’s brother approached the victim who had been fishing at a local dam with other villagers.
He lied to the girl that he had a message from her brother, which he wanted to convey to her.
Nguluvhe then requested to see the girl in privacy.
The two then went to his donkey-pulled scotch-cart, where he asked her to get in before they drove off.
Upon realising that the man had no message to convey, the girl requested to alight from the cart.
Nguluvhe refused and threatened to kill her if she resisted his orders.
He took her to his homestead where he force-marched her into the hut where he raped her twice.
The girl later managed to escape and made a report to police.
Nguluvhe went into hiding after realising that police were after him.
He was arrested a month later at his homestead.
