TWO rapists, including a father who raped and impregnated his teenage daughter, have been sentenced to lengthy prison terms for raping minors.
The 36-year-old father, who raped his 15-year-old daughter, was jailed for 20 years.
A 29-year-old man from Rutenga received a 15-year jail sentence for raping a 14-year-old girl.
In the first case, the father’s shocking betrayal of trust occurred in February.
He took advantage of his wife’s absence to attack his daughter, who was sleeping with her 11-year-old twin sisters.
The girl’s pregnancy led to the discovery of the crime and investigations resulted in the father’s arrest and conviction.
In the second case, the 29-year-old man targeted a 14-year-old girl, who had been sent to his home on an errand, in April.
He grabbed her hand, dragged her inside the house and raped her, threatening to kill her if she screamed.
The girl confided in a neighbour the next day, leading to the man’s arrest, and subsequent conviction.
