A DARING rapist raped the 11-year-old daughter of his lover several times, including once while her mother was taking a bath, inside the same house.
The incident happened in Dzivarasekwa.
Jackson Murambiwa, 44, of Vantage Farm in Zvimba, raped the girl three times.
His decision to rape the child, while her mother was taking a bath, backfired after she caught him in the act.
It led to his arrest.
Harare provincial police spokesperson, Inspector Luckmore Chakanza, told H-Metro:
“Circumstances are that the complainant is a step daughter to the accused.
“The accused took advantage of the complainant’s mother’s absence and invited the complainant to his bedroom.
“On a date not known by the complainant, he raped her once without protection.
“On April 17 at around 0600 hours, the accused raped her once again without protection.
“On April 20, at around 1700 hours, the accused called the complainant into his bedroom whilst the complainant’s mother was bathing. He dragged her onto the bed and raped her without protection.
“The complainant’s mother then entered the room whilst the complainant and the accused were semi-naked and she asked what was happening.
“The complainant’s mother then cried and neighbours gathered and apprehended the accused leading to his arrest.”
