ZIMBABWEAN all-rounder, Sikandar Raza played no part as his team, Trinbago Knights Riders recorded a second win in the Caribbean Premier League with a seven-wicket triumph over Jamaica Tallawahs at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Tarouba, Trinidad and Tobago on Thursday.

Jamaica Tallawahs posted 135/8 in 20 overs, their highest run scorer being opening batsman, New Zealander Glenn Phillips with 58 runs off 42 balls.

Opener, Sunil Narine top scored yet again for Trinbago Knight Riders, with 53 off 38 to take the man of the match accolade for the second fixture in a row while Colin Munro was second best with an unbeaten 49 as the three-time champions picked up their second win of the tournament, a victory which saw them remain on top of the six-team log.

Raza bowled one over that went for seven runs and did not face any delivery in the short period he spent at the crease when his team defeated Amazon Warriors by four wickets in their opening fixture of the CPL on Tuesday.

Next up for Raza and his teammates is a clash with the Barbados Tridents on Sunday.

Coached by former New Zealand skipper Brendon McCullum, Trinbago Knight Riders are the most successful team in the history of the CPL since the tournament started in 2013 as they have it three times, in 2015, 2017 and 2018. With all the matches being played at their two home grounds, Brian Lara Stadium and Queen’s Park Oval, Trinbago Knight Riders will certainly look to fully gain from that to claim their fourth title.
