Red Fox to host Chris Goldfinger

Popular joint Red Fox Hotel will host United Kingdom-based disc jockey Chris Goldfinger this Easter as part of their fifth anniversary celebrations.

The DJ is set to perform at the venue on Sunday with local supporting acts.

In an interview with The Herald Entertainment show organiser Robert Zhuwao said all is set for the show.

“We are happy to be hosting Chris Goldfinger who is the voice of reggae music in the UK.

“The Jamaica-born DJ has interviewed all the biggest reggae artistes out of Jamaica and beyond.

“He has over a decade of experience at BBC radio and currently working as a DJ at Top Fm in UK,”he said.

Zhuwao said Goldfinger is not new to Zimbabwe as he has toured the country before.

“This is the fourth time having the artist in our country. He will be performing at Eden Club in Bulawayo on Friday (tonight) before turning tables at the Glow Night Club in Mutare on Saturday. He is scheduled on Easter Sunday to perform at Red Fox Chase Hotel,” he said.

“We have Kivo Santana, Judgement Yard, Legendary Sounds and Red Fox Sounds among others as supporting acts during the Easter shows for GoldFinger. Some of our proceeds from the show will go to Tanyaradzwa Cancer Trust,” he said.

Popularly known by reggae lovers as “Kumarasta” Red Fox Hotel has played host to Jamaican artistes among them Elephant Man, Beenie Man, Capleton and Sizzla when they visited Zimbabwe.

Meanwhile, Red Fox will next Thursday host Jamaican reggae musician Luciano’s welcome party, with another star-studded performances from top notch local artistes.

Luciano, born Jepther McClymont, is billed to perform on April 10 at Andy Millar Hall courtesy of Chipaz Promotions.

He will be supported by a number of artistes, such as Suluman Chimbetu, Jah Prayzah, Tocky Vibes, Winky D and Sniper.
