Redcliff council shortlists three candidates for town clerk’s post

REDCLIFF Town Council has shortlisted three candidates for the town clerk’s post.

A total of 52 people, some of them executives from Kwekwe Municipality, had applied for the job.

The town’s mayor Councillor Fred Kapuya who declined to name the shortlisted candidates said: “We are seeking a new town clerk after Ms Elizabeth Gwatipedza left the local authority for Gweru City Council (GCC) last year to assume a similar post,” he said.

Clr Kapuya said the three who were shortlisted were recently interviewed.

“Yes we have already done the selection and the possible three candidates who were shortlisted for the Redcliff town clerk’s position were interviewed on Wednesday. Now it is up to the Local Government Board to appoint the new town clerk,” said Clr Kapuya.

“We are still at a primary stage which is just after interviewing the candidates. The police are yet to clear them so that we can be able to divulge the names to the populace.”— @sharonchiware1
