Bulawayo is hosting the 2026 Regional Circular Food Systems Policy Dialogue, a four-day forum aimed at advancing climate-resilient and resource-efficient farming systems across Eastern and Southern Africa.
Davis Marapira is expected to officially open the event.

The policy dialogue has brought together representatives from regional economic communities, international and regional organisations, national and sub-national governments, farmer organisations, private sector players, civil society organisations, development partners, academic institutions and the media.
Special focus is being placed on stakeholders involved in irrigation, water resources management, climate resilience, agribusiness development and circular food systems in Eastern and Southern Africa.

The event is being convened by the Circular Food Systems in Africa consortium, which includes Food, Agriculture and Natural Resources Policy Analysis Network (FANRPAN), Agricultural Research Council, Australian National University and Universidade Eduardo Mondlane.
Other partners include Instituto Nacional de Irrigação (INIR), Ardhi University, Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR) and International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT).
The dialogue seeks to strengthen regional collaboration on sustainable food systems, climate adaptation and efficient use of natural resources in agriculture.
