A JILTED woman has been harassing and destroying the property of her married ex-lover.
Memorise Makumbe has been accused of demanding money from her former lover, Colen Chimbinye.
Colen applied for a protection order against Memorise at the Harare Civil Court yesterday.
“I was seeing this individual for a year and I ended the affair two months ago.
“After the break-up she started coming to my house and pestering my wife.
“The other day, she came to my house and smashed my car windscreen.
“She calls and threatens to kill my wife and kids,” said Colen.
“She comes to my workplace and shouts demanding money which I don’t remember borrowing from her,” he said.
In defence, Memorise said Colen’s wife was the one who called her to the house.
“I exchanged harsh words with his wife because of the affair.
“I love him so much that I can’t let go of this affair.
“If he doesn’t want me anymore, he should return my money.
“I invested in this man so I want money to restart my life,” said Memorise.
Magistrate Rutendo Machingura granted Colen the protection order.
