Reliving your special moments

Reminisce Messages, a United Kingdom-based concern, has made a mark among local followers through apparel that captures some of life’s memorable moments.
The company was founded by the youthful Zimbabwean duo of Tim Matambo and Nyasha Mapfeka and has been in operation for more than a year.

Judging from some of the famous faces that have been featured on social media donning their T-shirts and outfits, the company appears to be destined to be in the fashion industry for the long haul.

Some of the messages range from a memorable date, a song, or any event that evokes memories that one would like to treasure.

“We have come up with a T-shirt brand that specialises in personalised messages that gives you the opportunity to evoke and relive your special memories. The coded message could be anything; a phrase, location, a date, a number or a song.

“Do you remember that song playing when he proposed? That day she became a mother? Or that unbelievable football score line in a football derby? That catch phrase during school days? In fact, the list is endless. We will help you reminisce all those treasured moments,” Tim said in an interview in Harare this week.

Among some of the celebrities that the company has worked with locally and abroad are rising contemporary musician Jah Prayzah, urban groover Nox Guni, former Dynamos midfielder Memory Mucherahowa and many other well known Zimbabweans now living in the Diaspora.

One of the trending messages on the T-shirts is “Gore rino tichadzidza zvakawanda” which loosely translates to say that we will learn a lot of things this year.

Tim said he was in Zimbabwe to promote the Reminisce Messages brand and was hopeful of setting up a local branch to distribute the merchandise locally.
