Retired Major General Dzihwema dies

RETIRED Zimbabwe National Army (ZNA) Major General Everisto Dzihwema has died.

He was 63.

The former senior military officer died in India, where he was receiving treatment, on Thursday.

In a statement, Director of Army Public Relations Colonel Hlengiwe Dube said:

“The Commander Zimbabwe National Army, Lieutenant-General Asher Walter Tapfumaneyi, regrets to announce the untimely death of Major General (Retired) Everisto Dzihwema”.

She said the late retired Major General is survived by his wife, Alice Dzihwema, and three children.

“Mourners are gathered at House Number 5535, Zimre Park, Ruwa. More details on burial arrangements will be announced in due course,” said Colonel Dube.

Major General (Retired) Dzihwema was among the Zimbabwe National Army’s senior retired officers. Further details surrounding his burial are expected to be announced by the family and the Zimbabwe National Army.
