Rev Chivaviro launches two albums

REVEREND Togarepi Tapera Chivaviro, will next Thursday launch his new albums, Tsitsi dzake ihuru and Mhepo inoperekedza – Tiri Munyasha part two in Mutare simultaneously as he commences his whirlwind tours. Rev Chivaviro, who is based in South Africa, boasts of a number of albums which include, Peace, Hope and Love (1999), Power (2000), Komborerai Africa (2002), Kuna Mwari Zvitaure – Hymnal Praise Volume 1 (2005), The Return (2009), Nguva Yakanakisa – Hymnal Praise Volume 2 (2010), To God Be The Glory – Hymnal Praise Volume 3 (2011), Ishe Taungana – Hymnal Worship Volume 4 (2013) and Ebenezer – Tiri Munyasha (2014). His most popular song, Ebenezer, which is a thanksgiving gem, features gospel artistes, Pastor Charles Charamba, Baba Mechanic Manyeruke, Noel Zembe, Pastor Lawrence Haisa, Rumbi Zvirikuzhe, Kudzi Nyakudya, Bethen Pasinawako Ngolomi and Apostle Juliet Chivaviro .

The show, dubbed: “Tirimunyasha Part two”, will be held at Eastern Highlands Christian Fellowship. In an interview from his South African base, the husky-voiced Chivaviro said a galaxy of artistes who include Pastor Tinashe Murigo and Blessing Makomeya will stage live performances during the launch.

“It’s certainly a blessed musical time, we are planning great things for Mutare this year, and this is just the beginning. I last performed in Mutare in 2003 at the Nguvayakwana show at Sakubva Stadium, therefore this is a much cherished visit and quite exciting to us too. With artistes such as Pastor Murigo, Blessing Makomeya, Blessing Shumba, government officials as well as church leaders having promised to grace the event, it will be an honour.

“We shall sample the two albums that we are launching, a hymnal album entitled Tsitsi Dzake Ihuru, and a fully originals album Mhepo Inoperekedza – Tiri Munyasha part two. While Mhepo is our main album for 2016, a followup to Ebenezer, the hymnal album was done to cater for our hymnal fans since we did not do any hymns on Mhepo as we normally do with each album. I will not pre empty much, but just invite Mutare citizens and those that love our music, to just come and experience,” he said.
