Rhinos go on top

providing yet another crucial victory for the army side with a solitary strike mid-way through the second half.
Chiunga was at the centre of action again when he scored the goal that helped his team beat Eiffel Flats 1-0 at Rimuka in a mid-week fixture.
Nesbert “Yabo” Saruchera’s side now have 17 points from eight matches, the same number of points as second-placed ZPC Kariba, but the soldiers boast a superior goal difference.

With a bit of luck and accuracy, Rhinos could have won the match by a bigger margin but their strikers were wasteful in front of goals or found Flame Lily goalkeeper Matthew Urayayi in good form.
Saruchera praised his team and highlighted the importance of his experienced players’ contribution to the team’s cause.
“The team is doing well and we want keep on with our good form so that we can collect as many points as we can.
“We have experienced players who are doing well to balance the team and they have been very instrumental in our campaign so far,” said Saruchera.

Saruchera, however, said it was still early to talk about the championship.
“It’s still too early to talk about the championship, there are so many good teams in the league and we just need to do our job.
“In as much as we might want to return to the top-flight league, we should not under-estimate other teams in the league because everyone is playing good football and vying for the ticket,” added Saruchera.

Rhinos’ experienced players are Brighton Chandisaita, Menard Mupera and Lazarus Muhoni.
It was Flame Lily’s second defeat of the season.
DStv Rangers piled more pressure on Scotia coach, Droment Chirova. by beating them 1-0 at Chibuku Stadium.

Scotia is the only team in the league, which is yet to register a win, and they are anchoring the log with four points from four draws.
Second-placed ZPC Kariba played OUT a 2-2 draw against DC Academy at Chaminuka.
Artwell Nyamiwa scored a brace for ZPC and DC Academy got their goals through Lee Munyorovi, son of former Dynamos player Mugove Munyorovi.
