RHUMBA lovers are in for a rare treat tonight when Club Habhana Lounge introduces the anticipated Wednesday Rhumba Nights.
Popular club wheel-spinners, DJ Ben, DJ Lucky and Buzie, will be in charge at the event.
The trio is not new to rhumba lovers as they have performed at a number of upmarket joints in Harare.
Located at Southgate Mall along Chiremba Road in Hillside, the venue has been hosting high-profile shows and birthday parties.
The most recent one was socialite and businessman, Brighton “Pan Jap” Ushendibaba’s 36th birthday party.
It was coordinated by events management guru, Wanisayi “Mahwindo” Mutandwa.
She is also coordinating a number of activities at the venue, especially rhumba sessions.
In an interview with H-Metro, Mahwindo said rhumba lovers deserve to be treated well.
“After the closure of Chez Ntemba, our rhumba fans had nowhere to go.
“I have got so much respect for Congolese people plus my foundation boss called Danya Kabwebwe is from Congo.
“Zodwa is going to be our guest of honour while Danya is our special guest,” she said.
Meanwhile Mwhindo is also set to host businessman Archford “Mr Habhana” Murapa’s birthday.
Besides events planning, Mahwindo is also a music promoter who has assisted a number of artists.
She has been advocating for showbiz to be taken seriously by various stakeholders since it is an industry, which can produce stars and create employment.
“Arts is business, you have to do something unique for yourself to make money.
“This year has started on a good note so our future is bright, we just need to work hard,” she said.
