Four uknown robbers last night pounced on a Total Energies fuel garage in Mkoba and got away with US$6 000 cash.
Midlands provincial police spokesperson Insp Emmanuel Mahoko said the robbers went to the fuel garage at midnight pretending that they were looking for fuel.
“The security guard indicated that the garage had closed. They then bundled the security guard, tied his legs and hands with his boots shoe laces. They then got access to the manager’s office where they blasted a safe before they got away with US$6 000 cash,” he said.
Insp Mahoko said businesses should use formal banks to bank their money.
