Rugby Union president not seeking re-election

ZIMBABWE Rugby Union president John Falkenberg says he will not seek re-election when his term comes to an end. He believes fresh ideas are needed to make sure that the association grows.
His last annual meeting, as the Union president, will be in February next year.

“I would like to see my final term through as the Zimbabwe Rugby president. There are quite a number of things I am committed to in our Union and that is why I have to make sure I complete the projects I started, to make it easy for the incoming team,” said Falkenberg.

“Funding has been the main problem that has led to us because we have not received as much funds as we had hoped.” he said
