A 20-YEAR-OLD Rusape budding gospel artiste, Simbarashe Mapila, has released his debut nine-track album, Nzira Tsvene.

Nzira Tsvene was recorded at Kunashe Studios and has songs such as Tine basa, Ruponeso, Ndishingise, Simudza Kutenda, Fambai Neni, Rumbidza Mwari, Urigamba, Tendeukai and Anoshamisa.

The leader of The Chosen Four Band said his youthfulness actually inspired him to praise the Lord through music and dance.

He added that other youngsters should also enter into the gospel arena and spread the Word of the God.

Nzira Tsvene is already enjoying fair airplay on the nation’s radio stations much to the surprise and delight of Mapila who said he was humbled by the success of his first project.

Mapila said he was currently in talks with established names in the industry to embark on nationwide tours marketing the album and also doing collaborations with them on his second album.

“The major theme in Nzira Tsvene is about what our Lord expects us to do as His children.

“God expects us to live clean and straight forward lifestyles. The world is burning with sin and we should stand up and preach the salvation of people.

“I hope this album will be well received because we put maximum effort on this project and also we worked with an established studio. We are already working on the follow up album and we will embark on live shows soon to further market the album. We are receiving favourable airplay and this is so inspiring because it shows that our product has been well received,” he said.
