Russia mourns National Hero Tshinga Dube

THE Russian Embassy in Zimbabwe has mourned the death of the liberation stalwart Retired Colonel Tshinga Dube who passed on Thursday last after battling kidney failure.

He was 83.

“The Embassy of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Zimbabwe conveys the profound condolences to the bereaved family of Cde Tshinga Dube, to the Zimbabwe Nation. Let the Dear Soul of Cde Tshinga Dube rest in peace and forever be in our memory,” posted the Embassy on its X handle.

President Mnangagwa conferred a national hero status on Rtd Col Dube on Friday, describing his death as great loss to the country. Rtd Col Dube, an all weather Bosso benefactor, will be interred at the national shrine tomorrow.
