SAA needs strong leadership — Bezuidenhout

JOHANNESBURG. — Former Mango CEO Nico Bezuidenhout says South African Airways (SAA) needs strong leadership, describing the current situation at the airline as a “soap opera”.

Mr Bezuidenhout was acting CEO of SAA and was reportedly frustrated by the fact that a deal he had agreed to with Emirates was cancelled at the last minute by SAA Chair Dudu Myeni.

He will now join Fastjet as its CEO. Mr Bezuidenhout says SAA knows what needs to be done to save the company.

“I think you have all the ingredients of a normal soap opera at SAA. I think that SAA can be rescued and it can be fixed.” — EWN.
