A SQUAD of 30 players has been called up into camp for the Zimbabwe men’s fifteens rugby team as the Sables prepare for their last two Victoria Cup fixtures.

The Sables, who are gearing up to face Zambia and Kenya, got into camp in Harare yesterday. Fine tuning sessions are being conducted at Old Georgians Sports Club until the final squad of 23 leaves for Zambia on Thursday.

Looking at the squad that has been called up by coach Brendan Dawson, there is a call up for schoolboy, Tinashe Hombiro of Prince Edward. Hombiro can play fullback or flyhalf, with the youngster having represented the country at the South African Youth Weeks.

There is a return to the squad for forwards Lawrence Cleminson (prop) and Kudakwashe Nyakufaringwa (lock).

Zimbabwe need a win against Zambia on Saturday to win the Victoria Cup before they clash with Kenya a week later.
